Results on existing canvases may have changed
The default beam theory changed and some catalog values were updated, so results may differ slightly. To restore the previous beam theory, set Beam Theory to Euler-Bernoulli in Settings (gear icon).
Timoshenko beam theory
Beams now include shear deformation by default, which is more accurate for short, deep members.
Sharing
Share a canvas or a whole workbook with a link, as view-only or copyable.
Tabs
Group related canvases into a workbook and switch between them as tabs.
Expanded section catalog
Adds imperial HSS, more SHS/RHS sizes, and solid bars and rods, each with a sourced shear area.
Materials panel
Assign materials to individual members, and enter Poisson's ratio or shear modulus, and κ or shear area, whichever you have.
